This is to share with you that the 215th Birth Anniversary of Louis Braille, who invented the six-dot Braille system of reading and writing for the Blind, will be observed with great enthusiasm and interest by the Confederation on January 4, 2024. You may perhaps be aware that since 2019 the Birthday of Louis Braille has been designated as the World Braille Day by the United Nations.
Our Confederation has always taken various important initiatives at different levels to ensure that the occasion is observed in a befitting manner. Our main objective of celebrating this Day is to promote Braille reading/writing skills of blind children.
