| To enable visually impaired youngsters to keep pace with rapid changes in technologies and job-market requirements, AICB also provides training in the use of computers. Speech synthesizers and special softwares which convert text to speech are used for this purpose. The programme has gained so much in popularity in recent years that many of our former stenography trainees, on referral from their employers, have come back to us to receive training in the area. 200 men and women with visual impairment, have been provided training in this challenging sphere during the last 7 years.
